Not long after, Hamza and Imam entered the house, while outside, Abdul Hakeem brought the car around. Zilai and Sahura helped her (Mama) into the car and they went outside with her. Aunty Hasana followed them out.

After everything calmed down, Hajiya Kaltume and the others finally had time to face their guests. People began greeting them with warm wishes and prayers. Alawiyya and Magaji came too—Magaji didn’t go to the hospital because he knew that the shock and stress were what caused Mama’s condition. It wasn’t really anything else. He believed that whoever caused such pain to another would surely feel the consequences sooner or later.

Food was served outside. The guests ate and prayed. Then Aunty Surayya brought out the bride’s traditional wedding gifts. Hajiya Kaltume and Inna Maimuna were there too. Inna Maimuna had distanced herself ever since Mama fell ill, because she knew deep down that her bad intentions were now being questioned. Even though she had tried to stop Zahra’s progress in many ways, Allah showed that He is the One who provides and lifts people up, no matter how much enemies try to bring them down.

Now, Zahra had risen so far ahead of them, like the distance between the earth and the sky. No one ever imagined something like this—not even in dreams.

They all thanked each other sincerely. Aunty Surayya brought out a key and gave it to Hajiya Kaltume, saying,
"Ammi said I should give this to Ammah and greet her. Before everything settles down, she should come over so they can talk and thank her properly."

Everyone there was surprised by this great gift given to the bride’s mother. Even the women from the neighborhood who came to visit were amazed as they helped unpack the wedding gifts. Everyone kept praying for blessings over the gifts.
