Non man who lived in a neighborhood called Dala. His house was known as the "troubled house," and everyone in the neighborhood knew about it. The house became famous because of constant fights and unrest. The reason for this chaos was the family itself, known for their quarrels and troubles.
The head of the house, Malam Adamu, had two wives, and they often controlled him as they pleased. He was blessed with eight children—five daughters and three sons. The first wife, Rabi'atu (called Maama), had five children, while the second wife, Fatima (called Umma), had three.
Every day in that house, there were arguments between the two wives. They could hardly stand each other, and they were always fighting. Their daughters also took sides with their mothers, adding to the tension. Sometimes, the arguments got so intense that neighbors had to step in to stop the fight. And when things got really bad, the wives would even start fighting physically.
At first, the neighbors would help calm things down, but later, they got tired of the constant trouble. They decided to leave the family to settle their fights on their own. Sometimes, the fights got so serious that people got injured. The courtyard of the house became messy, like a place where crazy fights happened, with things scattered all over due to the brawls.
Malam Adamu would try to stop the fights, but the quarrels were so intense that no one listened. He became so stressed and exhausted from trying to control the chaos that he eventually collapsed and developed high blood pressure.
That was the life in Malam Adamu's troubled house, with his two wives, Rabi'atu (Maama) and Fatima (Umma).
